Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing streetlights and associated electrical systems. Must have a Journeyman Electrician or Lineman certification. Work involves heights, outdoor conditions, and traffic safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair streetlight electrical and mechanical issues
Replace lamps, ballasts, photocells, wiring, poles, and fixtures
Operate bucket trucks and aerial lifts to access elevated fixtures
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Follow all safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, company policies)
Set up and maintain traffic control for work zones
Document work completed and report system issues
Required Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrician or Lineman certification (mandatory)
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license; CDL Class B preferred
Experience with electrical systems, utilities, or lineman work
Comfortable working at heights, in all weather conditions
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Experience with bucket trucks or aerial lifts
Familiarity with electrical schematics
Work Conditions:
Outdoor work, including night shifts and emergency call-outs
Exposure to heights, electricity, heavy equipment, and traffic
On-call rotation for outages and storm response
